By promoting on the Internet and especially on Facebook, many companies have managed to push new categories of clients, which they certainly couldn't have reached if they had chosen to continue promoting themselves through traditional media channels.

Without support from paid ads, a new Facebook page has only one way to attract new fans, through direct invitations to give Like, and through sporadic appearances in News Feed to friends who have already done. So, Facebook has thought it's time to come up with something new on the market and so will launch the option to place ads in Messenger's messaging service as well.

What is the role of this new option?
This form of advertising has the role of making users interact more easily with known brands on the independent Messenger application. Thus, Facebook will expand the list of places where merchants can buy ads.

Tests on this new release have been made since January, so Facebook has placed various ads in Messenger users' messages. Thailand and Australia were the countries where the new Facebook proposal was tested.

Once officially launched, any advertiser in the world will be able to buy ads in Messenger.

How will these ads look like?
Messenger ads look similar to the types of direct-response creatives that users now see in News Feed. These ads will not be used by people's personal messages for viewing.

The tests performed had good results and now Facebook wants to implement these ads as soon as possible in the Messenger application. Next month, the option to buy ads for Messenger will be launched, and later, ads will be broadcast to users by the end of August. Conferences are already being made to educate advertisers about this new type of ads in Messenger.

Usually, when creating a Facebook ad, you can let Facebook position them in places where they have the best chances of having the best performance, or you can manually choose where to place these ads.

What are the positions made available by Facebook?
  • Streams: You can choose your ads to appear in the "News" section of your desktop and/or in the news feed on your mobile.
  • Groups: You can also choose to have your ads appear in certain interest groups.
  • Your ads appear in the right columns on Facebook. It should be known that only people who browse Facebook using computers can access the ads on the right side of the desktop.
  • Instant articles: Ads appear in Instant Articles available for mobile and Messenger.
  • Ad positioning can also be done in videos. Your ads appear as short videos on both the Video on Demand page on the Facebook live video page.
  • You can choose your ads to appear on Instagram. Your ads can appear in the desktop stream (for people accessing the Instagram website on laptops or desktop computers) as well as in the mobile stream (for people using Instagram on mobile devices or accessing the site Web Instagram via a mobile device browser). In addition to streams, your Instagram ads can also appear in Instagram user stories. Story advertisements are only shown to people browsing stories from Instagram.
So Facebook thinks that sending ads with Messenger is just like sending messages to friends, so they can get the best way people can communicate directly with companies.

Everything is going to have ads, ads, ads and many more ADS! Ok, I don't have anything with that but when in Messenger I would receive something like that... More... popads are missing.... and the hell is complete :(
